About

This blog is intended for the amateur cigar aficionado. I myself am new to smoking cigars and look forward to the journey to really appreciating the science and art of a good stogie. I've found that reading others reviews has helped me in choosing my first cigars and also what to look for in a good smoke in terms of flavour, aroma, construction etc. Most the reviews out there though are by fairly experienced cigar smokers so I'm hoping to give a point of view from a beginner.

Please feel free to leave a comment or share your reviews of cigars you have smoked or cigars you recommend.

The review of each cigar will look at the following:

Origin - The country of origin
Ring gauge - Thickness of the cigar
Length - In inches
Manufactured - Machine made or hand rolled
Maturity - Duration of time that the cigar has matured in my Humidor
Construction - Quality of the construction
Draw - Quality of the draw
Strength - Mild, medium or full
Taste - Brief description of dominant flavours
Burn - Uniformity of the burn
Guy's rating (70-100) - My rating out of 100

Light up and enjoy!!
